You can expect a big cut in your salary regardless if you have experience or not. Until you have a significant contribution to the company, you will always fall under cheap labor.

As for whether you will be hired, very hard to say, unless you are picking those jobs where Singaporeans don't want to do. And your expectations are lower than the cheap FTs, your chances are quite slim.

Lastly, that's a very sad situation, I am empathize 100% with you. However that is a very lame reason to come to Singapore to work. Have you ever considered if you suffered in your job, who will you blame? Yourself? Your boss? Or your boyfriend?

Next year onwards, there is a minimum salary cap for those on employment pass.

Anyway, if you are looking for accommodation, let me know. I might be able to help in a way or two.

Hi Ling,

That's the first question most job seekers have . However, given the number of variables involved, it is hard to say whether you will get a job or not. The only way to find out is to start an active job search and see what feedback you get from the market.

Regarding the salary levels you can expect, have a look at this article, which provides a list of all the Singapore salary surveys/guides.

Good luck!
